March 12, 2024: There was an accidental distress call pinged near the D wing at Claxton Elementary
School this morning. School Resource Officers (SROs) and Claxton Police Department (PD)
conducted a safety sweep of the classrooms on D wing. All students and staff were safe, and no
emergency was detected.
