🎄🍪 Gingerbread Fun in Ms. Thigpen and Ms. Melissa’s Class! 🍪🎄 This week, Ms. Thigpen and Ms. Melissa’s class dove into all things gingerbread! 🏠✨ They listened to different gingerbread stories and voted on their favorite. The students made gingerbread ornaments using cinnamon, applesauce, and glue, and even tasted gingerbread cookies while predicting if they would sink or float in water. To top it all off, they built their very own gingerbread houses! 🎉 What a fun and festive way to learn! 🎅🍭 #ReadySetGrow

🎶🎄 Claxton Christmas Carols: A Magical Night of Music 🎄🎶 On December 10th, the talented students of CMS and CHS came together to present their Performing Arts Christmas Concert, and it was truly a night to remember! 🎤🎷✨ Under the direction of Mr. Maruri and Miss Grimes, the Band delivered performances that brought the holiday spirit to life. 🎉🐾 CES Beta Club Attends State Convention! 🐾🎉 On December 5th and 6th, 20 talented students from the CES Beta Club represented us at the State Convention! 🏆✨ They worked incredibly hard on their projects and competitions, showcasing their dedication and teamwork. Don't forget about the Christmas Jamboree on December 14, from 2:00-6:00 PM! Please see the flyer below from our friends at the Evans County Community Center! The 4th Annual Christmas Jamboree will be held this Saturday, December 14th, 2:00 – 6:00 PM at the Evans County Community Center (720 Church St, Claxton). This year’s event will feature games, bouncy houses for the kids to enjoy, food, a beautiful Winter Wonderland where each family can take a family photo, pop-up shops, and more. There will also be a "keep warm station" with free socks, jackets, and gloves. Over 300 gifts, including bikes, and hoverboards will be given away to families who attend! In addition, there will be gifts given away to parents and guardians, and one family will receive a vacation! The public is invited to attend. 🎄🌍 Christmas Around the World at CMS! 🌍🎄 Last week, Ms. Hoffman, Ms. Benton, and Ms. Christman’s classes embarked on a festive journey around the globe in social studies! 🗺️✨ Students explored how Christmas is celebrated in different cultures and learned about the unique traditions that make each celebration special. ✨ Monday: They "traveled" to Mexico and discovered the story behind poinsettias and Las Posadas. The day ended with a delicious treat: Walking Tacos! 🌮 ✨ Tuesday: In Germany, they learned about the origins of Christmas Trees 🎄 and their importance in holiday traditions. ✨ Wednesday: Sweden brought the magic of St. Lucia Day, with its beautiful candlelit processions. 🕯️ ✨ Thursday: A sunny twist!
